Walker was born in 1976 in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Her ancestry is African American and she has the American passport. Her parents are Harvey Welker, a Native American father, along with Julie Welker, an African American Mother. Her father works in engineering and her mother is an estate agent. Walker was educated at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown region, where she was able to graduate in 1994. She attended Harvard College, where she received a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker is in a relationship with John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck at Philadelphia and has two kids. They started an affair in 2014. John was her husband and 4 years younger than her. They decided to take their relationship to a higher step because everything was running so smoothly.
