Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer is also a talented actress. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actor, she's an example to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series made her popular for her role in the show in Ally McBeal, where she was Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles on the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. Her next performance was a dazzling performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii in QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same period, she also starred in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was an actor in voice for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't produce positive results. An appearance in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland helped re-establish herself as an established actress. Liu picks her roles wisely to avoid becoming typecast in the highly competitive field. Though she has embraced her heritage, she hasn't allowed it to limit her as an artist.
