Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist, television personality and the owner of the independent free online news publication The Huffington Post. When she moved from Greece to England from Greece at the age of 16 She earned an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. After the graduation ceremony, she was a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna became famous in 2003, when she ran as an independent candidate in the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. In addition to this she was the leader of the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes named her the most powerful female in the media industry in the year 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their ranking. The Guardian added her to the list of 100 most influential media outlets in the year 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. This included many AOL properties of the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. Her character was formed through her relationship with her mother, and the bond she shared with her father, despite being extremely close to her father. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. At 16 years of age she emigrated back to United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies, she belonged to the Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first woman and the sole foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and an anchor on TV. In addition, along with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
