Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She's written 15 books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington has worked as an actor, journalist, philanthropist and author for more than 10 years. Her role also includes being the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. She was born in Greece and relocated to England at the age of 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Her popularity as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current political situation. Her popularity enabled her to get a variety of stars to voice their views on current events, political and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her as 12th on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her head of its media division that also includes the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and journalist. Though she shared a close relationship with both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. Even as a young girl she displayed leadership qualities which she is still renowned for. At the age of 16, she moved over into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. In Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president and only foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. After her graduation, she was a columnist-critic as well as a TV host. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on the show Face the music.
