Maria Brink

 Maria Brink, born December 18 1977 was an American singer-songwriter. She is best known for her role as the lead singer of In This Moment. The group has gone to release seven studio albums and earn four nominations, two from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from the Grammy Awards, and one from the Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been recognized as "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010, one of the 11 females from heavy metal who matter by Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 Hottest Girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. When she was just 25 years old, she moved to Los Angeles to search for an opportunity to join a band. She was employed in shops, sang in bars and performed in coffee shops. In 2004, she met now-band members Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth rebuked Brink due to her gender. Howorth apologized to Brink and then hired her to be her singer just two weeks later. They formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The band soon changed their name to In This Moment
